Spring is upon us and we are excited for a full year at Spanish Oaks. We began our season in February with a special Valentine’s Day Dinner. Chef Matthew and his culinary team presented an intimate four-course meal for two, and each couple enjoyed a table setting with a personal touch.  Club-made heart-shaped macarons and red velvet bonbons provided the finishing touch.

With winter behind us and warm, sunny weather ahead, golfers are hitting the course. We started our tournament season off with two challenging events, The Spanish Revolver and The Superintendent’s Revenge. Both events have a unique spin on traditional golf tournament formats, keeping the game fun and competitive for golfers of all skill levels. Our first tournament, The Spanish Revolver, utilized all four tee boxes over the course of 27 holes. This format forces golfers to adapt their game to the different angles and yardages the variety of tees present.

The Superintendent’s Revenge was diabolically set up by Scott Hamilton and his crew, making it almost impossible to score well. The greens were lightning fast and the pins were tucked into some very tight places!

The Spanish Oaks on course Pavilion is open for the season!  We’re excited to showcase our new pizza oven and delicious menu items. Our new Pavilion Attendant, Jennifer Ortega, is excited about offering tasty drink specials, “grab ‘n go” slices and built-to-order pies Thursday through Sunday.

Easter weekend is upon us and we are excited about all the family festivities. We will kick the weekend off with our Wild Hare Easter Egg Hunt and Picnic at the Pecan Grove on Saturday, April 15. The Easter Bunny will be in attendance for family photos, and we’ll have other fun activities for the kids – including face painting, balloon twisting, pony rides and more. The culinary team will work their magic, assembling over 450 picnic meals for everyone to enjoy!

On Easter Sunday, we will host our lavish Grand Easter Brunch. Chef Matthew and his team produce a buffet full of seasonal, innovative items such as Cast Iron Dutch Pancakes and Black Garlic Crusted Lamb T-Bones – an unforgettable occasion our Members enjoy each year.
