The community of Spanish Oaks is natural Texas at its finest - symbolized by a simple acorn that is the seed from which its namesake red oak grows and thrives in rugged Hill Country terrain. From its inception, Spanish Oaks has been committed to environmental sustainability. The golf course design respected existing topography, restored native vegetation, and employs reclaimed water for irrigation. Low-density development has protected water quality along Little Barton Creek and its tributaries that flow through the canyons within Spanish Oaks. And all of the community amenities have been created to encourage exploration and appreciation of the natural beauty found here.

Security
The privacy and security of our residents is a top priority at Spanish Oaks. Two gatehouses, staffed 24 hours a day by security professionals, guard both entrances to the community. Our security team greets and verifies all guests, vendors and service personnel before granting them entry. Roving security provides added peace of mind, and can include property checks while residents are away.
Pool Pavilion
At Spanish Oaks, you can enjoy a mini-vacation any day of the week at the fabulous private Pool Pavilion. The multi-level pool includes lap lanes, quiet areas with stone waterfalls, and a sandy-beach shallow area for little ones. You can relax in a shaded cabana or watch the game by the fireplace in the beautiful stone Pavilion. The pool chef and staff are in attendance from Memorial Day to Labor Day serving a casual grille menu and adult beverages. In addition, the complex includes a sand volleyball court and basketball court for active recreation.
Fish Camp
The rustic Fish Camp at Spanish Oaks is a haven where family memories are made. Your kids or grandkids will always remember baiting a hook and reeling in their first big catch. And you’ll relive the fun of spotting tadpoles, turtles and ducklings. The Fish Camp is also appealing for grown-ups seeking the solitary pleasure of sitting on a wooden rocker and dangling a line. The private lake is well stocked with five species of native fish including trophy largemouth bass.
Trails & Parks
The natural beauty of the Hill Country surrounds you at Spanish Oaks and you can enjoy it up close along the extensive trail system that winds through the community. A morning run, bike ride or stroll through our beautiful pecan grove is a great way to start the day. And an evening picnic with the family along the creek or in one of our seven private parks is a great way to end it.
Origins
In 1998, Daniel Porter sold his Houston-based pipeline company and came to the Austin area looking for Hill Country land on which to build a home for his young family. He ended up with that and a whole lot more – 900 acres in all. With the land came a vision: a private golf club that would be among the best in Texas, surrounded by a residential community that would be an exclusive haven for families seeking the very best – all developed with reverence for the natural environment. Twenty years later, Mr. Porter’s vision has become the reality of Spanish Oaks.
